My name is Joseph Lee. My friend and I are building an iOS game about space adventurers hunting for slime. These adventurers can collect slime by defeating slime monsters in a dungeon loot-style type of game.

We have decided to make each level progress into 3 stages of difficulty. Tier 1 will be the easy starting level. Once the player defeats a fixed number of slime creatures they will progress to the next level still in tier 1 difficulty. However, if they defeat the boss they will unlock tier 2 and another planet. Different planets have different drops and loot rewards. Each loot may have an affinity to one of the 3 elements: fire, water, & earth. These elements determine how much damage different types of slime monsters will take. For example, water-based slime monsters will take reduced damage to loot with water affinity. However, fire-based slime monsters will take additional damage.
